Estimated, registered, confirmed: why we never mix them

Every value in a SIMPLR dossier carries its source and a score.

A data layer is worth as much as its honesty about its limits. That is why every value in a SIMPLR dossier carries two things: where it comes from, and how certain it is.

Three kinds of values

  • Registered. Build year and floor area come from public registrations.
  • Estimated. Insulation and installations are estimated until someone confirms them, and the estimate comes with a score.
  • Confirmed at inspection. When an advisor confirms a value at the home, it always takes priority over the estimate.

These three are never mixed. A bank reporting under Pillar 3 can show exactly which share of its figures is estimated. An advisor can later show what the advice rested on. A resident can see what is known about their home and where it comes from.

Every change is traceable

Every change to the dossier records who made it, what changed and when. Nothing disappears silently, and a confirmed value never gets overwritten by an estimate.

Up to 85% certainty before the inspection is what we can substantiate. Above that, we don’t give a number.
